He's won an Eisner Award. He's been getting amazing critical praise for his solo mini-series Black Beetle. Now, Francesco Francavilla is joining Matt Fraction for Hawkeye - at least for a couple of issues. Announced in a press release Friday morning ahead of the Marvel Solicitations for April, Francavilla will be drawing issue #10 and #12 of the hit series. Marvel says his first issue is a jumping-on point, "as the Avenger known as Hawkeye finds himself facing his deadliest opponent yet. Who pulled the trigger? Where have you seen him before?" Senior Editor Stephen Wacker expressed his excitement for Francavilla joining the already-impressive list of artists on the series, following David Aja and Javier Pulido. “Though he’s only on the series for issues #10 & #12, Francesco is going to leave his mark on Clint with some of the most beautiful art you’ll see all year!” The full Marvel Comics solicitations for April 2013 will post at noon EST.
