DC caused a stir earlier this week with the news that February's Justice League of America #1 would have 52 variant covers — one for each state, plus Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. On Friday at DC's publicity blog The Source, the first two such covers were revealed, representing California and New York, plus the standard cover for the issue. The David Finch-illustrated image is essentially the same for each one, but with the respective state flag inserted in place of the American flag. Justice League of America #1, from Finch and writer Geoff Johns, is scheduled for release on Feb. 6, 2013. For those looking to show an all-encompassing national pride, DC is also offering a shrinkwrapped pack of the standard edition of the issue, plus all 52 variants. More from Newsarama:
