UPDATED Aug. 28: Marvel has released an Adi Granov illustrated variant cover to October's Uncanny X-Men #1, and like Monday's Milo Manara cover (to November's issue #2), this one also features series cast member the Scarlet Witch.

Original story: Renowned Italian comic book writer and artist Milo Manara illustrates this variant cover to November's Uncanny X-Men #2, the second issue of Rick Remender and John Cassaday's Marvel NOW! debut title, and here is a look at it first here on Newsarama.

Manara is best known for more adult/erotic art and stories, including Il gioco and Il profumo dell'invisibile in the 1980's (better known as Click, and Butterscotch, respectively, here in the U.S.), but he did illustrate the 2010 one-shot written by Chris Claremont - X-Women.

Check out his take on Scarlet Witch by clicking on the thumbnail image, and below check out some character sketches by Cassaday and Jerome Opeña featuring new looks for members of the Uncanny Avengers cast.
