The Wolverine, Fox's solo sequel starring Hugh Jackman once again as the old canucklehead, is now filming in Australia, despite not yet making an announcement on the casting of the main villain, Viper.

To mark the start of production, Fox has released the official plot summary for the movie:

"Based on the celebrated comic book arc, 'The Wolverine' finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed."

It doesn't tell us anything new, as the movie's plot mirroring the classic mini-series featuring Wolverine in Japan has been well-publicized since it was first rumored to even be a possible film. promises more updates soon, however, from the website's Executive Editorial Director Ryan Penagos, who just returned from a trip to the film's set down under.
