Artist Ed McGuinness, who first rose to comic book prominence on Marvel's Deadpool series, is returning to the House of Ideas after a several years absence. Marvel has confirmed the artist has signed an exclusive year deal with the publisher.
McGuinness has spent the last few years as a DC exclusive, most notably penciling runs on titles like Superman and Superman/Batman with writer Jeph Loeb. It comes as no surprise McGuinness will be working with Loeb - himself a relatively recent Marvel exclusive signing - on an unannounced project together.
Loeb has served has something of a talent magnet during his brief time at Marvel, having an influence in the Marvel signings of J. Scott Campbell, Joe Madureira, and now McGuinness.
