Can I Get Some Webcomic Suggestions

Postby atlas689 » Sun Nov 01, 2009 9:46 pm

So recently I got into reading webcomics. I mean I have been reading Ctrl Atl Dlt for a while now but I expanded beyond that and found myself wanting more. While humor is fun and all I began looking for more in depth story along the fantasy or science fiction lines. I was wondering if I could list the webcomics I found, liked, read, and wanted more of that some of the kind and wise board members could suggest webcomics that they would think that I would like (wow thats a run on sentence if I have ever seen one). So here is the list along with their respective links:

Ice
http://www.faitherinhicks.com/ice/
A fantasy steampunk webcomic that feels like it was written by Warren Ellis.

Post-Nuke
http://www.postnukecomic.com/
A post apocalyptic tale of a man and his dog.

Everblue
http://blue-ten.livejournal.com/
A steampunk fantasy webcomic with a manga feel.

Last Blood
http://www.lastblood.net/
A post apocalyptic tale about a group of humans being protected from zombies by a group of vampires.

Roza
http://www.junglestudio.com/roza/
A fantasy coming of age webcomic.

Red Moon Rising
http://www.redmoonrising.org/
A steampunk epic fantasy webcomic.

Crimson Dark
http://www.davidcsimon.com/crimsondark/
A science fiction space opera told during an intergalactic war.

Dead Haven
http://www.deadheaven.net/index.html
A dark fantasy webcomic with stunning art.

Cealdian
http://www.cealdiancomic.com/index.php
Another fantasy webcomic that focuses on court politics.

The Phoenix Requiem
http://requiem.seraph-inn.com/
A fantasy webcomic that has very little magic in it and is more a historical fiction tale.

The Meek
http://www.meekcomic.com/
An epic fantasy that follows multiple characters and plotlines.

Freakangels
http://www.freakangels.com/
Warren Ellis' steampunk webcomic that is my personal favorite.
--------------------

While I enjoy the typical humerous webcomic like Ctrl Alt Delete, I am looking for something deeper (yet that still has good art). So just to get some of the suggestions out of the way I have also read the following:

VG Cats
Penny Arcade
Gone with the Blastwave (which was so awesome)
The Adventures of Dr. McNinja
The Rack
Comic Critics
Eerie Cuties

But again those ^ arent really what I am looking for.

Thanks for any and all recommendations!

Not to self promote too much. I know your not looking for too much humor comics, but Real Life Comics is a good one. Do a google search for it, overall I've been enjoying that. And of course High Moon on Zuda.

Recently started about a month ago, I started publishing my own webcomic at Silver Spectre.

We got a lot of great content and the comic pages are updated 2x a week.

If you like it let me know, if not no big deal would always love feedback.

Two of my favorite webcomics are Sin Titulo by Cameron Stewart (of The Other Side, Seaguy, and an upcoming arc on Batman and Robin), found here: http://www.sintitulocomic.com/2007/06/17/page-01/ and The Abominable Charles Christopher by Karl Kerschl, found here: http://www.tacc.txcomics.com/

Both are really top-notch.
