marvel zombies questions and spoilers
hey just a few questions about our favourite undead super heroes.
first off, is there any further series coming after the MZ Return event is over? And is the whole deadpool and his head thing an on going title? which trades could I get to catch up on that whole story (outside of the regular MZ trades I mean)?
also on the army of darkness spin off...not sure if any of you follow the army of darkness comic but if so, what happened to ash after he landed in the werewolf dimension?
also, for those who have read the recent MZ return...without going in depth into spoilers, how can these zombies come back? I mean didn't they lose the hunger? and didn't Hulk zombie die? How does that work?

The Merc with a Mouth book seems to focus on Zombie Deadpool's head, so you can just start reading that from the beginning and you wouldn't be lost.
Outside of the Ultimate Fantastic Four arc that introduced the MZs and the ongoing Deadpool book, I'd say pretty much the entire story of the MZs is contained in their various trades. There's a regular Fantastic Four tie-in when Black Panther was on the team, but I'd hardly call it essential.
The Army of Darkness ending was mostly a joke from what I can tell. In his own book, Ash is dumped back into his own world where he goes on to do what he does best. Considering he's had crossovers with Xena, Darkman, the Re-animator, Freddie, Jason, and (ugh) Obama, I wouldn't look for too much continuity in the AoD stories.
As for how things work for the Return series, at the end of MZ2, the remainder of our zombie friends are transported to another dimension. As a result of the transport, they lose their cosmic abilities and the hunger seems to return. Regarding Hulk, that's all explained in the story. Just remember, the remaining zombies are transported to another Marvel universe, meaning there are other characters running about.

Re: marvel zombies questions and spoilers
I honestly hope MARVEL ZOMBIES RETURN is the last we ever see of this particular concept. It was repetitive non-sensical nostalga-driven drivel.
The issues jumped between "classic" time frames as if the writers had ADD. Even knowing there was an overall story, it didn't feel like there was an overall story. Characters gained and lost the hunger on a whim. Rules established in previous entries were almost entirely ignored. Half the main cast we expected to see didn't show up for five issues and even when they did, they were written out in mere panels.
It was a horrible horrible read and i'm done facilitating Marvel's beating of this well and truly dead horse.

You may want to close your eyes when you go to the comic shop this week then, else you might see Marvel Zombies Evil Evolution sitting on the shelf.

Seriously? What's it about?
MZR didn't exactly leave any loose ends. They just tied it in one big knot and hoped people would view it as ironic.
EDIT: Nevermind, i just read the solicit. So it's essentially Marvel Zombie Apes. That's just what the franchise needed, to be taken less seriously. Please, somebody kill this damn series.
