Original name for the thread i know lol :mrgreen:

well until the random wrestling thread comes back (if talk@ does), I thought I would start this one for those of us who enjoy watching Wrestling.

Any comments about the shows, any news you have seen or just comments in general about wrestling, and it doesnt matter if you like WWE, TNA, ROH, MMA, Japan, etc etc, all posts are welcome.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, Newsarama proudly brings to you The All New Wrestling Thread!!! For the handful on this board and for the millions on the net and just becuase its a Sunday afternoon and Im bored.....

well u are more than welcome, I just made this for everyone who likes wrestling, if they watch it all the time or just every so often, all are welcome

and it doesnt have to be all serious wrestling stuff either, Im hoping this turns into a fun thread where we can all have a good laugh and stuff too

Rumored Draft Spoilers

The final decisions for the WWE Draft will be made the week of WrestleMania. Vince McMahon will have extended creative meetings for the show and where the show leads.

Triple H is a lock for a move to Raw to continue his feud with Randy Orton. As previously reported, Triple H was moved to Smackdown to increase the ratings and with the recent change to MyNetworkTV, they may not be a network in September. The general feeling is that it would be a risk to weaken the Smackdown brand by having all the top stars on Raw, but it would also not benefit the company by having John Cena or Randy Orton on a show averaging 2.0-2.2 ratings.

Rey Mysterio will be moved back to Smackdown to increase the Hispanic demographic. He has not affected the demographic on Raw, but Smackdown has suffered since his departure. They were number one or in the top ten with Mysterio, but since he left in June they have been in the top ten once.

Jeff and Matt Hardy are expected to stay on Smackdown. There's a chance Edge will move to Raw and Chris Jericho to Smackdown. Batista could move to Smackdown if Triple H is indeed returning to Raw. Management offered Shawn Michaels in the past to move to Smackdown but he turned it down since the tapings conflict with his Wednesday religious commitments.

Jim Ross could return to Raw's announcer booth since internal reviews for Michael Cole have not been good, however, if they stick with Cole on Raw then do not expect an announcer change to happen for a long time.

I'd love HHH to move back to Raw.

Why would Jericho go to Smackdown though??? He's a better bad guy than Edge (IMO anyway).

because he'd get lost in the shuffle of high profile feuds on RAW--despite Jericho being an amazing draw.

yea thats true, plus there is a better chance for him to keep in the main event picture on Smackdown, especally if HHH moves back to Raw

exactly. we look at what's being headline for Wrestlemania and we get a few feuds that are less than a month in the making. We have maybe Cena v. Edge MCMXXIII, Orton v. HHH, Shawn Michaels v. Undertaker for the streak, the Hardies, and Jericho v. Mystery Legend with the Hardies being the only ones from the smackdown roster who doesn't have a headlining history with their opponent. All this despite Jericho v. Michaels being the draw last year, Jericho is nowhere near the main event at Mania. Instead, he's most likely pulling Santino quality filler.

At least with Smackdown he could feud with people who can give him some real quality matches with reasonably fresh stories.

Was the HBK match good?

I don't watch Smackdown that often and haven't really seen if Kozlov can wrestle. Now I know HBK could wrestle a broom stick and still have a match of the year candidate, but when he goes against someone else who can wrestle (Flair, Jericho etc.) it can be simply awesome.

How does last nights match affect Cena for Wrestlemania??

Honestly? No. At least I didn't think so. HBK had little to no offense in the entire match until Kozlov put him up on the top rope. HBK fought back and pushed Kozlov off and he landed in the perfect position for HBK to hit him with the elbow off the top rope. From there, HBK tuned up the band and hit the Sweet Chin Music. Pushing Kozlov off of the top rope, hitting the elbow and then the superkick were pretty much the only offense HBK got in the whole match (aside from the odd chop here and there) and it was enough to pin Kozlov for the first time. He couldn't even hit the flying forearm. In my opinion, it made Kozlov (and therefore the entire Smackdown roster, since nobody over there has been able to pin him yet) look extremely weak.

Yea the match wasnt HBK's best. Everyone pretty much knew he was gonna win it, but they had to try to make it look like he wouldnt.

I pretty much think they wanted to get the match over asap.

The latest WM25 rumor is that Hulk Hogan is gonna wrestle either Chris Jericho or John Cena.

Personally if Hogan is going to have a match, I'd rather see him taking on Jericho than Cena.

I can see Jericho making an open challenge on Raw in the next few weeks to wrestle any Legend at WM25. At WM we see Jericho in the ring waiting for the Legend to appear and then Real American playing and Hogan coming out. that way we have had a build up to it with the current angle without Hogan having to appear on Raw.

Hogan fighting Cena makes no sense, why have the companies current big face lose to the biggest face of all time... and we all know thats what will happen, I dont see Hogan looking to lose against Cena at the best of times, but especally at WM25
