Week 2 of 4 for November. Remember, if you can't get to your comic shop to look/buy then go to;

Cover of the Week Rules
1. Original Comic Covers (no magazine's unless comic related, Wizard, Back Issue, etc) i.e. No Maxim, People Weekly etc. TPB's with original cover art are fine.
2. Everyone gets 1 nomination. You can either nominate a cover yourself or second/third/fourth/fifth an already existing nomination.
3. If you want to change your nomination there are a few factors involved. A) No one can have seconded your nom. If it is clear for you to change your nom, you must edit your original post or the new post will be disqualified as being a double nomination. You can only change your second or third, etc by editing your original post also.
4. Only 10 covers can make it to the voting thread due to the message boards limits on # of votes per poll. To determine the top 10 covers I will take the 10 with the most nominations and tie breakers will be broken by order originally seconded/thirded/fourthed/etc.
5. Comics with multiple covers can have nominations for each cover, but please specify the artist/variant name when posting your nomination. Remember when you are nominating and seconding/thirding to state which one you are putting your endorsement on.
6. Remember getting a second does not guarantee a spot on the poll. Had a few comments a few times, just want to clarify. A lot of covers have been fourthed and fifthed lately so a cover that is nominated and seconded on the last day of nominations may not make it. Just the way it works.
7. Nominations will be open until the thread is locked on Saturday. The poll thread will be opened shortly thereafter.
8. Lets be civil when commenting on other peoples covers. If you have something negative to say about a cover give your reasons. No more quot;That looks like....posts about other covers"
9. If the image does not include the title and issue number, you must type out the title and issue number of the cover you are nominating.
10. Covers are eligible for nomination the week they appear on Diamond's weekly shipping lists. In instances when titles do not appear on http://www.midtowncomics.com corresponding list, the cover will be eligible the week it first appears on Midtown's site if it was not previously nominated.
11. The cover you nominate can have words on it or it can be the original picture with no words. It is completely up to you. If there is one you would like over another (one with words or one without) then pm me and i will use the one you prefer. If more than one person pm's me about which cover they would prefer be used, whoever pmed me first will have their choice put on the poll. I reserve the right to locate a clean version of the cover for use in the poll if the version nominated has been branded.
12. In instances where a single image has been split into multiple covers, those covers will no longer be combined into one entry in the poll starting the first week in January 2008.
13. In the event that less than 10 covers are nominated, I will select additional covers to make the poll complete. Any nominations not following the above rules will be disqualified. close(-)
