Not exactly the best DC has to offer. Batman and J'onn, yes, but at the time, J'onn was a cipher, little more than a green Superman who was afraid of matches. And look at what they did with it.

The Real JLA is comprised of the people who are currently in the JLA. Any hero has the capacity to save the world. ANY character, or group of characters, can be made great, with the right writer and a couple of good ideas.

I really liked McDuffie's run, what there was of it; more specifically the parts that were his ideas.

I think Robinson can write wonderful stuff. So far that wonderful stuff has not been seen in JLA:CFJ(!) but I maintain confidence. (read: "fool's hope")

Oh how quickly the Geof Johns sycophants like to deny that he ever wrote the Avengers during this period too.

I actually liked Geoff Johns Avengers, I just thought he was rushed. The idea of the Avengers becoming an international force was cool IMO. I do think his run was cut way too short (probably because of his DC commitments) and then they rushed Austin to take over. close(-)

Yes, the fact that anyone has to ask the question just shows how many posters have left the site. Bad as his X-Men run was, I think Austen also almost single handedly managed to cancel the original Avengers book!
