I think it would make more sense for Loki to be black because:

1. Like your eaxmple, he is a shapeshifter like Anansi.

It doesn't make any sense though. There are certain characters that race isn't important. Making Nick Fury match the Ultimate version is no big deal.

This, however, is a NORSE god. There are people who still worship the Norse pantheon. That pantheon doesn't include any black dieties. It makes no sense other than political correctness run amok. As far as your other comments, someone's race is a little bit more of a big deal than hair color.

Like I tried to point out earlier, if they made American Gods into a movie that features Anansi as played by a white actor, there would be outrage. (And rightfully so.) Anansi is an African diety and should be played by a black actor. close(-)

I'm pretty sure that EVERY substance can conduct electricity; it's just that some substances have far higher resistance than others. Resistance is an opposition a substance has to current flow. Metals have low resistances and insulators such as glass and rubber have high resistances. Essentially, it boils down to how much the atoms of the substance hold on to electrons. If they are tightly held, it is harder to strip them off and to to get them to flow in a current.

Voltage is sort of like a pressure that can cause current flow. It is the potential energy in a an electric field that a charge can gain. The larger the voltage, the more energy there is to strip an electron off and cause current flow.

So if you make a high enough voltage, you can get current to flow through anything. Current through a substance produces heat.

As far as him shooting electricity through the air, if his entire body isn't grounded, it could work sort of like a tesla coil. close(-)
