Kryptonite... how is there SO MUCH OF IT on Earth when it exploded many many many lightyears away. The probability of even one fragment making it to Earth and not evaporating when entering the atmosphere... might as well be zero. close(-)

Listening to Liefeld had been a treat and he seems like he's a decent guy (don't know any details about these buisiness dealings that I hear mumblings about), but man that Ryan Coon guy seems COMPLETELY clueless. close(-)

I think your numbers may be too high. For the big books that sell 50,000 copies or more, there are, what?, a few hundred people screaming about it online, at most? Maybe 1-2% of fans are vocal about the books. Maybe. What Joe will listen to are the tens of thousands speaking with their wallets. Exactly, a drop in sales may be because some of them don't like the art, while some are cutting their budget and it just so happens to be the book they enjoy least even if they can't think of a reason why that is. Maybe they drop the book because it ties in too much to the current status quo of the MU. Maybe they're cutting it because it doesn't tie in enough. Maybe it's trying too hard to capture the glory days of the comic and "not doing anything new." Or maybe they think they need to try harder to be like past comics. Or possibly it is because "character x really wouldn't do action y and my friends agree!" So which should Marvel and Joe Q pander to? I've heard all of these arguments for dropping books before. Who isn't important enough to "listen to?" Because apparently if you don't do what they want they "don't listen to you." close(-)
