Judd Winick is having a busy week.

Just yesterday, the writer's new Red Hood mini-series was announced, letting him tell the story of just how Jason Todd came back and how he came to take on this identity. Now he's been announced as the new ongoing writer of Power Girl, following the departure of the creative team of Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray, and Amanda Conner. Joining Winick on the title is Sami Basri, previously a cover artist on The Shield for DC.

Winick said on DCU Blog The Source that he's excited to take on the buxom superhero, and her story "is tied to JUSTICE LEAGUE: GENERATION LOST [his biweekly series featuring the Justice League International cast]. Not CHAINED to it, but tied. Power Girl has a history with the JLI that will be explored. A lot."

The cover to Power Girl #13, out in June and by Basri, is pictured here.
