Part Two

On this episode of the Word Balloon podcast, it's Part 3 of The Bendis Tapes with more questions for Marvel writer Brian Michael Bendis.

You'll hear more on the Spider Woman motion comic trailer, Bendis' Avengers books, the new role of Doctor Voodoo as the Marvel Universe Sorcerer Supreme, Dark Reign: The List, Bendis' fellow Marvel writer Matt Fraction stops by for an extended cameo while visiting Bendis en route to this week's San Diego Comic-Con.

A few excerpts from the conversation

Q: Who Knew Spider-Woman was British?

Bendis: "We released the Spider-Woman Motion Comic trailer, and she has a slight British accent... she was born in England and lived there as a child, but because there are people on the Internet who didn't know this information, I am a (jerk) from (jerk)land [laughs]...It's covered in her origin story, her 70's stories, the short-lived cartoon series...but because I don't write her dialog like Dick Van Dyke in the Mary Poppins movie, 'I don't know what I'm doing.' [laughs]

Q: Will Wonder Man be back in your Avengers books?

Bendis: "Yes that seed is planted and he's also back in Dark Reign: Lethal Legion by Frank Tieri."

Q [for Matt Fraction]: Any news on a new Casanova story arc [his creator owned series drawn by brother artists Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon]?

Fraction: "I'll be seeing the twins in San Diego, so we're going to talk schedule."
