The conversation covers Akins work in the 90's at First Comics and Dark Horse and working with fellow Chicago artists Alex Ross and Jill Thompson.
We also talk about his involvement in a art gallery show, "SUPERDOGunderdog: “Knuckle-Opera for the Socially Challenged” in Chicago, at the Diane Tanios Gallery http://dianetaniosgallery.com/ that's been running through August, and wraps up this Saturday.
The art showing also features sequential and conceptual art from Gene Ha (Top 10) Elisabeth Belliveau, Alex Wald, and Jeff Zwirek.
