Readers of DC’s Justice Society of America know that since issue #10 Geoff Johns and Alex Ross have been playing with the classic Kingdom Come story since the appearance of that 'Elseworld' reality’s Superman.
Since then, Kingdom Come Superman, a hero who has seen his wife murdered and his world devastated by superheroes gone horribly wrong (an admittedly ultra-simplification of Mark Waid and Alex Ross’ Kingdom Come) has played a supporting role in Justice Society, and has become increasingly concerned as pieces on this new Earth seem to be aligning in the same way as they did on his. Case in point, the appearance of Magog, the major antagonist from Kingdom Come...not to mention the appearance of Gog – the “god” of Magog.
The storyline will take a major step forward in November, as the larger “Kingdom Come” storyline will see three specials: Magog, The Kingdom and Superman, as well as have its penultimate chapter in that month’s issue of Justice Society.
DC has provided Newsarama with an exclusive early look at the covers and the solicitations for the issues. Check out the copy below and the cover to your right...
