At its Source blog, DC Comics has announced that in September, it will launch a new, ongoing Magog series, starring the DCU's version of the Kingdom Come villain.
The series will be written by Keith Giffen, with art by Howard Porter and John Dell.
The Magog of the DC Universe is Lance Corporal David Reid, a new member of the Justice Society who was granted the powers of Magog when he was resurrected by the the alien god Gog, who also replaced his missing arm with a golden facsimile which incorporates his plasma-based weapon. Reid turned against Gog in the storyline, but kept the "gifts" the alien gave to him.
