Watchmen brought in another $7 million internationally over the weekend, for an international total box office of $60.1 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed a total of $158.2 million. While the worldwide box office for Watchmen can be compared against a reported $150 million production budget (and an unknown marketing budget), the accounting on the film sees the total going to a variety of places: Legendary Pictures put up half of the film’s production budget, while both Warners and Paramount (which has the foreign rights to the film) have a 25% stake each. Additionally, due to the legal settlement over the rights to the film, Fox is owed 8.5% of the box office, according to the terms reached by Warners and Fox.
