t's been 25 years since the last one (1984), and in April, Marvel brings back a beloved (?) tradition with Assistant Editor's Month. Originally held when the Marvel Assistant Editors "took over" the books for a month while the editors were in San Diego at Comic-Con, the unnamed event resulted in a mix of books touched by the Assistant Editors' hands, from the sublime (a literal battle between white creatures in a snowstorm in Alpha Flight) to the ridiculous - David Letterman appearing in Avengers.
This time, however, it looks to be limited to two specials. Marvel has released the two covers and teaser text that reads:
MARVEL ASSISTANT-SIZED SPECTACULAR #1 & 2 (OF 2)
Written by CHRIS ELIOPOULOS, JASON AARON, CHRIS YOST, CHRIS
GIARRUSSO, ADAM WARREN, WYATT CENAC & BRIAN PATCHETT
Art by JACOB CHABOT, RICHARD ISANOVE, JOH JAMES, CHRIS GIARRUSSO, TODD NAUCK & XURXO PENALTA
Cover by DAVID WILLIAMS
40 PGS./Rated A ...$3.99 (each)
