Dabel
Brothers Productions have provided Newsarama with a five page preview
of Marshal #1, due in stores in April. The solicitation
for the issue reads:
Writer: Bill Tortolini, Andrew LoVuolo
Art by: Abdul Rashid
Cover: Abdul Rashid [order code (FEB06 2961)]
Synopsis:
Earth’s
first off world colony, Tranquility, once thought to be the greatest
human achievement, is in ruin. All contact with Earth has been lost;
the supply ships stopped years ago. Civilization has degraded to
something similar to the Old West. Where there was once government,
there are now gangs and corruption. Only the corporation known as
the Merkaid has seemed to last throughout the years, and they are
trying to seize control of the population for good. Fear and hunger
fill the air, with only one glimmer of hope on the horizon –
rumors that there is another man calling himself Marshal, and he
is beginning to fight back.
Special
Notes:
Set in the not so distant future, the story follows the actions
of Curtis “Marshal” Masters, a young man bent on discovering
the secrets of the corporation that he believes murdered his father.
Through his travels we learn that over the 12 years since his father’s
murder, Curtis has been building an expansive complex located in
New Houston, the planet’s only city left untouched by the
Merkaid. And within this complex, he has followed his father’s
plans and built a regime hell bent on overthrowing the Merkaid and
finding out the real reasons behind his father’s murder.
