Ryan Reynolds' Busy Schedule Looks to Push DEADPOOL Start

Busy Reynolds = No Deadpool (or GL)

Deadline reports that Ryan Reynolds is on board Queen Of The Night, the latest addition to a busy schedule that would seemingly push production on a Deadpool film or his potential return to Green Lantern.

Reynolds has wrapped a film based on Dark Horse's R.I.P.D., which is scheduled for release in 2013, and is reportedly Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's choice to star in a Highlander remake. Visual effects specialist Tim Miller has been on board to direct a Deadpool film, presumably starring Reynolds (who played the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine) since April 2011.

Between R.I.P.D., Green Lantern, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Blade: Trinity, Reynolds rivals fellow actor Chris Evans for the most appearances in comic book films. Though a Green Lantern sequel seems unlikely due to the disappointing commercial and critical performance of the 2011 original, DC chief creative officer Geoff Johns was still holding out hope as recently as last fall's New York Comic Con. It's also been mused that Reynolds might reprise the role in a possible Justice League film, which is in early development.

Donald Faison Goes Balls To The Wall

In other news, Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall has a new cast member, as Donald Faison, most well-known for Scrubs and as a recurring voice actor on Robot Chicken, negotiates to play Dr. Gravity, the potential leader of this world's first super team, Justice Forever.
