Image held a particularly newsworthy "Image Comics Experience" panel on Saturday afternoon at Comic-Con in San Diego, with several new projects announced from high-profile creators.Matt Fraction, making an unannounced appearance at the panel, is teaming with Howard Chaykin on Satellite Sam, according to a report from CBR. The write-up quotes Fraction as describing the series as "the story of a children's TV host who is found dead in a somewhat compromising position." Among the other projects announced at the panel, according to multiple reports, are Saviors by James Robinson and J. Bone, Pretty Deadly by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Emma Rios, Oliver by Gary Whitta and Darick Robertson, Rain by Chris Roberson and Paul Mayberry, and Lazarus by Greg Rucka and Michael Lark. The "Buy Sex" teaser released by Image last week was revealed to be promoting a new series written by Joe Casey titled Sex, with artist Piotr Kowalski, said to be embracing the concept of sexuality in superhero comics. Casey is also writing Bounce, illustrated by David Messina. Also announced during the panel, according to CBR's report, was Non-Humans from Image co-founder Whilce Portacio; Nowhere Men, written by Image publisher Eric Stephenson; Multiple Warheads by Brandon Graham; Point of Impact written by Jay Faerber and Great Pacific by Joe Harris.
