In the latest example of Disney/Marvel corporate synergy, the heavily promoted X-Men story beginning in this week's Astonishing X-Men #50 is set to be revealed Tuesday morning on ABC talk show The View.
The general consensus is that Astonishing X-Men #50 will lead to the marriage of openly gay superhero Northstar and his boyfriend, Kyle, in June's issue #51, which features an X-Men wedding — seemingly a good fit for the "hot topics" typically discussed on The View.
Astonishing X-Men #50, by writer Marjorie Liu and artist Mike Perkins, is out this week, with stores that get Tuesday shipments able to sell them that day. Since its original solicitation in February, the issue has been hyped as featuring "the most talked about moment of the year."
