Update: As the pattern tends to go, Cullen Bunn — who recently joined Venom as a co-writer — is taking over as new solo writer of the book as of August's issue #23, news announced Thursday afternoon at Marvel's latest "Next Big Thing" conference call with the comic book press.
Initial series writer Rick Remender's last issue will be Venom #22, which he wrote solely. Additionally, Thony Silas and Declan Shalvey are both on the book as rotating artists. Remender indicated that him leaving Venom very possibly means the announcement of a new Marvel project from him, but declined to go into any detail.
