Matt Kindt Takes on FRANKENSTEIN

Following Tuesday morning's news that Jeff Lemire is the new writer of Justice League Dark starting in May, DC Comics has announced that Matt Kindt will be taking over writing duties on Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E. as of June's issue #10.

Kindt was already part of DC's "New 52" roster, writing the Robotman stories in the My Greatest Adventure miniseries. He's also co-writing April's Men of War #8 (guest-starring Frankenstein) with Lemire, the final issue of that series. Kindt's connection to Lemire runs deep, as he's also illustrated issues of Lemire's Vertigo series Sweet Tooth.

"We're going to get to see a lot more of S.H.A.D.E. and see how the agency works around the globe and visit a lot of crazy field offices," Kindt said on DC's official publicity blog, The Source. "What is life as a S.H.A.D.E. agent really like? It’s basically Steranko meets Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy, with some of the best spy-gadgets ever invented."

Kindt has previous experience in the spy genre with his graphic novel Super Spy, published in 2007 by Top Shelf. The six-issue My Greatest Adventure is set to wrap in March.
