In an email to comic book shop owners and managers this week, DC Comics updated retailers in their promotional efforts for their New 52 relaunch, including more information about the TV advertising campaign.
According to the publisher, the "DC COMICS - THE NEW 52" commercial is airing on:
More specifically, the commercial is running during shows including:
Comedy Central - The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Tosh.O, South Park and
MTV2 - Pranked, Viva La Bam, The Challenge, Rivals and Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy
SyFy - Ghost Hunters International, Stargate, Star Trek: The Next
Generation, American Ninja Warrior and WWE Smackdown.
IFC - The Onion News Network.
Online, the New 52 is being promoted via paid advertising on Facebook, Twitter, Google Search and Bing Search from now through December 24.Banner ads and homepage "takeovers"/reskins throughout September include ComicBookResources.com, IGN, CraveOnline, SuperHeroHype.com, Herocomplex.com, BBCamerica.com, IFC.com, and of course, Newsarama.com.
Finally, the publisher reports it has sent out an email blast focusing on the New 52 to a combined list of "hundreds of thousands of recipients of WB emails whose interests include HARRY POTTER, THE LORD OF THE RINGS, SUPERNATURAL and more, as well as the DC Comics email list."Got a comment?
