Marvel's ongoing Herc series is ending in November with issue #10, as revealed in this month's Marvel Previews and first reported by Bleeding Cool. For July, comic book sales data site The Comics Chronicles listed Herc #5 at No. 128 for single-issues that month. The only ongoing Marvel Universe series ranking lower was Spider-Girl #8 at No. 160, the last issue of that series. Herc began in April, with co-writers Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente depicting the continuing adventures of Hercules, now depowered and living in Brooklyn as a result of their Chaos War miniseries. The writing pair have been associated with Hercules since December 2007's Incredible Hulk #112, the dawn of their Incredible Hercules run. "It’s a genuinely fresh start, that will certainly bear a lot of the hallmarks of Incredible Hercules, because both Fred and I are writing, and a lot of the sensibilities will remain, but it is a totally new storyline, totally new status quo," Greg Pak told Newsarama in February of what made Herc different from Incredible Hercules. Van Lente confirmed the cancellation via Twitter, saying, "'Fraid it is so, but we appreciate all the support." A new reader-friendly issue, Herc #6.1, debuted in comic book stores this Wednesday, Aug. 31. Here's the solicitation information for Herc #10: HERC #10
