comiXology Adds ASPEN to Their Roster
Fifteen Aspen comics will be available initially, ranging in price from 99 cents to $2.99 based on page count (#0 issues and previews are free). Launch titles include signature series Fathom (Aspen is named after that book's main character), Shrugged, Soulfire and the more recent Executive Assistant: Iris.
Last week, comiXology announced that Archaia series Days Missing was coming to their digital platforms, joining publishers including Marvel, DC, Image and Oni Press. Aspen was founded in 2003 by late artist Michael Turner.
This will be the first time Aspen has entered the digital market, having first announced preliminary plans at least year's Comic-Con International: San Diego. Comics on comiXology can currently be viewed on the Web, and via apps on iPads, iPhones and Android phones.
“We've been working to get Aspen titles onto Comics by comiXology since before we even launched, “ comiXology CEO David Steinberger said in the official press release. “So, it gives us great pleasure to add them to the platform. We are always looking to expand our comic library to give our community more comic titles to enjoy and Aspen will be a great addition.”
