Starting today, comiXology, the leader in the digital comic book market has a new publisher in their virtual stable. With the comic book Days Missing, Archaia joins the comiXology fold alongside publishers like Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, and many more.
The joint production from Archaia Entertainment and Roddenberry Productions, Days Missing told the story of the time-altering Steward, who takes days out of the past to ensure the future. The first volume featured a rotating cast of writers and artists including Phil Hester, Ian Edginton, Frazer Irving, Lee Moder, and more. Hester, who wrote the first and last chapters of volume one, went on to write the second volume, Days Missing: Kestus with art by David Marquez. Volume one is available on comiXology in both single issues and a collected edition as part of the new partnership, starting May 18, 2011. In a press release, PJ Bickett, CEO of Archaia said of the new deal, "Archaia is committed to working with the best and brightest distributors in the industry to provide our fans with the greatest access to our content. When it comes to digital distribution, comiXology ranks among the elite. I have witnessed firsthand the extraordinary impact comiXology has had on how the entire industry views digital, especially with the largest brands.
