Select Marvel Comics titles will now be available on an HTML 5-based web store optimized for the Google Chrome browser, the publisher announced Wednesday afternoon. The store is online now, and represents further digital comics options from Marvel, especially for readers without mobile devices like an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Marvel releases purchased through those apps are able to be viewed on the Chrome store, but not vice versa. Though the site was built with Chrome users in mind, it's at least accessible via other browsers, including (from our tests) Firefox and Safari. The selections available on the Chrome store appear to mirror the offerings on the iTunes-based apps.
