NEW COMICS DAY Twitterama - YOU Review!

2011 is only five days old, and we've already seen some major comic book news, which makes this a rather auspicious first New Comic Book Day of the year. For a gaggle of previews of this week's comics, including an exclusive looks at Image's Twenty-Seven #2 and DC's Adventure Comics #522, click over here.

A new year doesn't slow down J. Caleb Mozzocco, whose ‘Twas the Night Before Wednesday… column is back on Blog@Newsarama, with looks at Magic Knight Rayearth Omnibus Edition Vol. 1, Steel #1 and an accompanying charming colored pencil drawing of Steel and Doomsday hangin' out.

DC just announced earlier today that Batman Beyond will be out on their digital apps the same day as the physical comic, and issue #1 is out this week. DC's also putting out the Weird Worlds #1, the first of a six-part anthology miniseries featuring Lobo and introducing new characters Garbageman and Tanga.

Marvel, now under the leadership of editor-in-chief Axel Alonso, kicks off a couple of Captain America-starring miniseries this week — Ultimate Comics Captain America #1 and Captain America: Hail Hydra #1 both hit stores, as does Avengers Prime #5, the final issue of that limited series.

BOOM! Studios keeps their Disney Afternoon momentum going with Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers #2, IDW has the latest issue of the Steve Niles-written Edge of Doom #3, and Teen Titans writer J.T. Krul sticks around Aspen with Soulfire #9.

The Best Shots team has advance reviews of those last three comics here, but, you know what you're about to read: we want to hear from you! So buy some comics, read them closely, get on Twitter (Don't forget to follow us!), and let the world know your 140-character-or-less thoughts on this week's releases. Just add the hashtag:
