A ZOMBIE CHRISTMAS CAROL Coming From Jim McCann and Marvel

In the (relatively new) tradition of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, Marvel is releasing a version of a 19th century classic of British literature with a supernatural twist: A Zombie Christmas Carol, coming in spring 2011.

Handling the zombified adaptation is Return of the Dapper Men and Hawkeye: Blindspot writer Jim McCann, but other than that, not much is known. An artist hasn't yet been announced, but the teaser image released appears to be illustrated by Michael William Kaluta.

Format and release date aren't clear at this point, either — Marvel says "spring 2011," but apparently it won't start until at least April, as the comic did not appear in the publisher's March solicitations, released today.
