NEW COMICS DAY Twitterama - YOU Review Comics! 10/20

Exclusive Marvel Preview - CARNAGE #1

It's more exciting than the baseball playoffs and more mentally stimulating than midterm elections — it's New Comic Book Day! Want a tantalizing prelude of what's coming out? Check out all of Newsarama's previews, including an exclusive 10-page look at Darkwing Duck #5, here.

This week is already great because Blog@Newsarama's J. Caleb Mozzocco has lovingly rendered a Ragman colored pencil sketch — in honor of this week's one-shot Ragman: Suit of Souls #1 — to accompany the latest installment of ‘Twas the Night Before Wednesday.

Oh man, remember Carnage? He's back in Marvel's appropriately titled Carnage #1, a new five-issue miniseries from writer Zeb Wells and artist Clayton Crain. The publisher also has the first issue of a new Loki miniseries (read our interview with writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa) and the fourth and final issue of Steve Rogers Super-Soldier.

DC? Well, they've got the Grant Morrison-written Batman & Robin #15, plus the latest in the biweekly saga of Brightest Day (#12), and the massive Vertigo Resurrected, collecting rare and previously unpublished stories from the imprint's history, which contains the Warren Ellis-penned "Shoot." (Here's our review.)

Nick Spencer and Joe Eisma have been selling a lot of copies of Morning Glories, and today both the fourth and final printing of #1 and the first (of possibly more) printing of #3 are out. BOOM!'s Soldier Zero #1 debuts, written by Paul Cornell part of the company's Stan Lee-overseen line.

The Best Shots team has advance reviews of those two books here, but hey, we want to here from you. So when you get your comics this week, get on down to Twitter (Don't forget to follow us!), and let the world know your 140-character-or-less thoughts on this week's reads. Just add the hashtag:

and it'll go into our stream right here! So share your thoughts, spread the word, and let's talk comics!
