What's the downside to a day off? New Comic Book Day coming a day late. US comic book fans are getting their titles on Thursday instead of Wednesday this week due to Labor Day, but that only makes the eventual reading even sweeter. There's been (roughly) a metric ton of previews of books this week, check them here.Holiday or not, each week J. Caleb Mozzocco brings both his take on this week's comics and an adorable colored pencil drawing in the form of Blog@Newsarama column ‘Twas the Night Before Wednesday. Grant Morrison's critically acclaimed, fan beloved and generally outstanding run on Batman and Robin continues this week with #14, illustrated by Frazer Irving and featuring the second installment of the three-part "Batman Must Die!" arc. Also out from DC Comics: Larfleeze does Vegas in Green Lantern #57, and video game duo Ratchet & Clank get a comic from Wildstorm (interview here). Marvel? Why, they've got two Amazing Spider-Man issues in one day: the final part of "One Moment In Time" in issue #641, and the first part of "Origin of the Species" in issue #642. Daken: Dark Wolverine gets a new ongoing from co-writers Daniel Way and Marjorie Liu, plus Alex Ross and Chris Gage gather the WWII superteam in the present day with Invaders Now! (interview here). Let's not forget other notable offerings like Lucid #1 from Archaia — part of the publisher's Before The Door partnership with actor Zachary Quinto — and Vertigo's Cuba: My Revolution hardcover. The Best Shots crew has advance reviews of those last two titles and more, but we want to hear from you. So, when you grab your stack this week, hop on Twitter (Don't forget to follow us!), and tell the world what you think of this week's reads. Just add the hashtag: #RamaRev and it'll go into our stream right here! So share your thoughts, spread the word, and let's talk comics!
