You Do Realize, This Means War: Well, them's fightin' words. Comics Alliance has some snippets from the DC Nation Panel at the Emerald City Comic Con, and it sounds like DC is loaded for bear. When a fan asked the panel if any DC/Marvel crossovers were in the offing, newly minted Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns replied, "If they stop telling people to rip up our books, we'll talk." Senior Story Editor Ian Sattler added this on Marvel's 50:1 Deadpool variant controversy: "We didn't start it, but we're going to finish it. I think we may have already finished it."

Johns also teased to fans that he has "a little longer" than a 5-year plan for Green Lantern from here forward.

GLAAD's Finest: Was it ever a doubt? Detective Comics got rave reviews, commercial success, and now a GLAAD Media Award. With a one-two punch of GLBT-friendly fare with both Batwoman and the Question, Greg Rucka, JH Williams III and Cully Hamner really did knock this one out of the park.

Abin Sur...You Have Been Chosen: The Hollywood Reporter has issued a few more casting notes for the upcoming Green Lantern flick! Temuera Morrison (better known as Jango Fett from the Star Wars prequels) has been cast as Abin Sur, Hal Jordan's ill-fated predecessor. Meanwhile, Taika Waititi will be playing "the best friend of Hal Jordan," which we're taking to mean as Tom Kalmaku.

If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It: Wired has some new images up from the upcoming Predators film, starring Topher Grace and Adrian Brody (?) alongside Laurence Fishburne and Danny Trejo. Whether it's a "falconer" Predator or a Predator with a dinosaur-dog hybrid creator, these images from the South by Southwest Film Festival look pretty sick. There's also a lot of interesting backstory here, ranging from Robert Rodriguez's ill-fated first crack at the movie, to the fact that there are more than just one tribe of Predators on the loose...
