Dynamite Entertainment is using Kickstarter to fund an expansive collected edition of Bill Mantlo and Butch Guice's Swords of the Swashbuckler, and now that the crowdfunding campaign has surpassed its goal four times over the publisher is offering a new stretch goal if they raise $50,000: an all-new Swords of the Swashbucklers comic book project with the involvement of Guice and Mantlo's family.

"I could not be prouder of our upcoming Kickstarter project, dedicated to help bring Bill Mantlo and Butch Guice's long out-of-print classic, Swords of the Swashbucklers, back into print," said Dynamite publisher NicK Barrucci. "The series struck a chord as a young fan and is a personal favorite of mine from childhood. Having the chance to reintroduce it for everyone to enjoy is a dream come true. It's hard to believe that it's been 30 years and this incredible body of work has not been in print before now, and I couldn't be prouder to be publishing this seminal series."

The publish doesn't specify the extent of Guice or the Mantlo family involvement in this speculative title, but as of this posting they are $1,128 from reaching that goal with a deadline of Friday at 1:42 p.m. EST.
