A new five-issue title elaborating on the origins of Marvel's Inhumans is coming from writer Christopher Priest and artist Phil Noto. Titled Inhumans: Once and Future Kings, the series is scheduled to launch in August - just one month before ABC's Inhumans television series debuts.

"With a voice that could level mountains with but a whisper, Black Bolt spent his entire childhood in solitude, learning the discipline to stay forever silent," reads Marvel's description. "Now, as he emerges from isolation, he sets out on a path to claim the throne and forever alter the destiny of his people. The courtship of his future Queen Medusa. The exile of the current King, The Unspoken. And the fall of his brother Maximus…doomed to madness."

Each issue of Inhumans: Once and Future Kings will also feature a two-page back-up story about Lockjaw by writer Ryan North and an unnamed artist.
