The digital comics reading service comiXology is experiencing outages in both its mobile app and website. The outage is ongoing as confirmed by the company, and is part of a larger unresolved issue with its parent company Amazon's cloud infrastructure. Other services experience issues include Amazon Music, Amazon Prime Video, Medium, Slack, Trello, and Signal.
"We're seeing some errors on the app and website," tweeted comiXology. "Our tech team is digging into this right now. Sorry for the trouble!"
Amazon has acknowledged the outage, saying that it is affecting its S3 servers on the North American East Coast.
"We continue to experience high error rates with S3 in US-EAST-1, which is impacting various AWS services. We are working hard at repairing S3, believe we understand root cause, and are working on implementing what we believe will remediate the issue."
