TRUE BLOOD's STEPHEN MOYER To Star in Fox's X-MEN Series

All the major Hollywood trades are reporting Monday evening that Stephen Moyer has joined Fox's untitled X-Men television series as the show's lead. 

The former True Blood star will play the Reed, the show's dad, who is described as "an ambitious attorney trying to balance the demands of his job at the DA’s office with his family responsibilities."

The series will reportedly focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Moyer joins the previously cast Blair Redford was previously cast as a Native-American mutant named Sam that leads an underground network and Jamie Chung as a recast Blink a "a sarcastic and lively tomboy."

Fox's untitled X-Men show has Burn Notice's Matt Nix as showrunner, with long-time X-Men movie director Bryan Singer helming the pilot.
