The fourth annual Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon is scheduled to take place March 11. The event has a goal of creating Wikipedia entries for women artists, which includes - but is not limited to - women comic artists. Art+Feminism's event is being centrally hosted at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, with sister events in various North American cities.
As part of the event, the MoMA will host a panel about information online, "fake news," and finding accurate sources on the internet with MoMA's social media manager Kimberly Drew, writer Joanne McNeil, and Data & Society Research Institute fello Zara Rahnman.
In addition to the March 11 event at the New York MoMA, sister events are being held at several locations across North America. A full list of institutions hosting edit-a-thons is available at Art+Feminism’s website.
