Marvel Comics has confirmed for Newsarama additional details on the publisher’s Free Comic Book Day 2017 Gold title. The newly-announced Secret Empire and Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man will each have a new, original story in the Gold-level split book to be released Saturday, May 6 as part of the annual Free Comic Book Day event.

Coming after the planned Secret Empire #0 in April, the FCBD Secret Empire story is written by Nick Spencer, with Old Man Logan artist Andrea Sorrentino illustrating. The Mark Brooks cover reveals Madame Hydra and Baron Zemo as Steve Rogers' chief allies in his Hydra machinations.

The Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man story will come before that new ongoing title debuts in June, with series writer Chip Zdarsky being joined by former A-Force artist Paolo Siqueira.

Marvel's second, "Silver" Free Comic Book Day 2017 title will have two original stories connected to the upcoming All-New Guardians of the Galaxy and Defenders titles. More details on that can be found here.
