DC/VERTIGO's ELLIE PYLE Steps Down for New Comics Division With LEAGUE OF LEGENDS' Game Publisher

DC/Vertigo Editor Ellie Pyle has stepped down from the company to lead a new comics initiative by Riot Games, the company behind the mobile game League of Legends.

"Today was my last day at DC Comics. I've accepted the Senior Editor role for a new comics team at Riot Games (home of League of Legends)," Pyle tweeted on Saturday. "I have had the opportunity to work on excellent books at Vertigo (UNFOLLOW, LUCIFER and EVERAFTER are all currently on sale!) but I am very excited about this new venture! Thank you to everyone I have had the honor to work with for the past two years, and as one of my personal comic book heroes says: onward!"

After graduating from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2008, Pyle joined the comic book industry in 2010 with as an Associate Editor at Marvel Comics. After working for that company for four years, Pyle segued to DC in November 2014 as a full Editor for the Vertigo imprint in a wave of staffing changes.

No details were available on the comic book initiative that Pyle is spearheading for Riot Games.
