Avengers: Infinity War may be getting a surprise supporting character in the form of Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross. According to the the British newspaper of record The Daily Telegraph, Tyler is reportedly reprising the role she originated in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk for Avengers: Infinity War.

If the rumor proves true, Avengers: Infinity War would mark only the second appearance for the character in the MCU, and her first time playing Betty Ross alongside Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, who took over the role from Ed Norton. Tyler's Incredible Hulk co-star William Hurt reprised his role as Thunderbolt Ross (her character's father) in 2016's Captain America: Civil War.

The Telegraph also reports several elements of Scottish origin will appear in the film: actor Karen Gillan, reprising her role as Nebula from the Guardians of the Galaxy film; and filming in country. Locations are reportedly being scouted near Glasgow and Edinburgh, with a planned February production start.

“The fact such a successful franchise will be filmed in Scotland will excite the fans but also provide a welcome boost to the economy," said Lewis MacDonald, Scottish Labour Cultural Spokesperson. "I hope the producers take advantage of the skills people in Scotland have to offer, so as many local people as possible can find work and Scotland’s fantastic creative community can go from strength to strength.”

Avengers: Infinity War is due out in theaters May 4, 2018.
