Although forward momentum has Ben Affleck working on The Batman after Justice League, the actor/director/writer has thrown some cold water on the inevitability of it happening with some choice words to The Guardian.

“That’s the idea. But it’s not a set thing and there’s no script," said Affleck. "If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great I’m not going to do it.”

Affleck and intended co-star Joe Manganiello have both stated the intention for the film to begin shooting in early 2017, but since then Affleck has said he's "in no hurry" to do the film, which he is writing and directing himself.

No release date has been set for The Batman.
