A release date for a sequel to 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming has been scheduled by Sony Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Tom Holland-led film will repotedly be released July 5, 2019, making it the the most distant Marvel Cinematic Universe film on the schedule.

That July 5, 2019 would put it two months after the untitled fourth Avengers film, dated May 3, 2019. Marvel Studios has three 2020 dates reserved, but with no titles or details announced. Those are May 1, 2020; July 10, 2020; and November 6, 2020.

Spider-Man actor Tom Holland has stated he has a six-picture deal with Sony, to be comprised of three solo films and three ensemble appearances (such as in the recent Captain America: Civil War).

Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to open in theaters July 7, 2017.
