Report: Warner Bros. Wants HARD BOILED, Starring TOM HIDDLESTON

Warner Bros. is in negotiations for the film rights to Frank Miller and Geof Darrow's Hard Boiled, according to Deadline. Although its said the deal hasn't been signed yet, the studio has already eyed Tom Hiddleston to star and Ben Wheatley (High-Rise, Free Fire) to write and direct.

The three-issue miniseries featured an insurance investigator named Carl Seltz who realizes he is actualy a homicidal cyborg fronting a rebellion of enslaved robots against humanity.

Since its debut in 1990, Hard Boiled has been optioned several times - including a 2001 attempt by Warner Bros. with David Fincher directing and Nicholas Cage in the key role.
