Spider-Man 2099 artist Will Sliney and his brother Aiden have launched a new "how to draw" instructional app for smartphones titled Learn How To Draw App. The app is currently Android-only, although an iOS version is in development.

"Ever since I started as an illustrator in comics, the spirit of the industry has always been to share your learning with others. Comic book art really is a special community unlike any other in this regard," said Will Sliney. "Since then, and due to the platform my own work has given me, I’ve tried my hand at live workshops, college lecturing, and open tutorials, but I have found that the requests for lessons only grows as I move further along in my career."

"This app is hopefully the answer to that; a place where we can create modern tutorials and share them in a way that was previously  impossible," the artist continued. "A place where any artist can study every individual step of of the process, in a way that surpasses even if I was standing alongside the user themselves."

Take a look at this video:

Will Sliney provided the drawing skills, while his brother Aiden brings the app expertise. Aiden previously created the music tracking app Soundwave, which was bought by Spotify.

"The 'Learn How to Draw' app is built with simplicity in mind," stated Aiden Sliney. "The tutorials are the core and focus of this app. Optimised for all screen sizes, enjoy learning how to draw on your phone or tablet. Don’t worry if you complete all the tutorials as there is new content every Monday. Having won many app development awards with Soundwave (editor’s choice Android, top developer Android, App innovation award 2015 Apple) you know 'Learn How to Draw' is a quality build."
