The mother of Jacob Hall, a six-year-old student who died after being wounded during a shooting at Townville Elementary in South Carolina, has announced that he will have a superhero-themed funeral, and will be buried in his own superhero costume.

“I don’t want suits and ties and all that,” Renae Hall told Fox Carolina. “There will be a lot of children there and I don’t want it to be scary for them. Jacob will be dressed in his superhero costume.” Hall said Jacob "wanted to save everybody," and said his favorite heroes were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It wasn't specific what superhero costume Hall would be buried in.

Jacob Hall was wounded when a 14-year-old student opened fire on a playground on September 28. Another student and a teacher were also wounded in the attack. Jacob spent several days on life support before passing away on October 1.

A Batman cosplayer with a Batmobile is said to be driving from West Virginia to attend the service, which will take place on October 5.
