Two more "Top Secret Artist" variants have been announced for upcoming Marvel titles. November's Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1 and January's U.S. Avengers #1 will have this new variant trend from the publisher. Earlier this month, the publisher announced a "Top Secret Artist" variant for November 23's Venom #1, eventually revealing it to be a recolored Todd McFarlane panel from 1988.

The "Top Secret Artist" variant for Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1 is available to readers in a "1 for 1,000" ordering scheme like Venom #1.

The U.S. Avengers #1 "Top Secret Artist" variant is only available, however, if a retailer orders a full set of the 53 "State" variants announced earlier this month.

Whereas McFarlane was at the top of people's list for potential cover artists when Venom #1's "Top Secret Artist" variant was first announced by Marvel, Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows and U.S. Avengers open up many more possibilities given the much larger array of artists who have worked on Spider-Man and Avengers books - including perhaps McFarlane again, in the former.

If Marvel continues their Venom #1 trend, the "Top Secret Artist" variant could be a re-colored piece by Spider-Man co-creator SteveDitko or some other artist for Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, and a comparable work for U.S. Avengers from the array of previous Avengers artists.
