Sam Neill has stated he recently completed filming an unspecified role in Marvel Studios' Thor Ragnarok. The Jurassic Park actor revealed this surprise casting during an interview promoting his upcoming film Hunt For The Wilderpeople, which is coincidently directed by Taika Waititi - the same director of the upcoming Thor film.
“I’m not really allowed to say this and I can’t tell you what it is. I did a couple of days on Thor just before I came over here,” Neill told ShortList. “If I say anything else, Marvel’s secret agents - and they are lethal - will come and get me and probably my children, as well.”
There's been no statement on whom Neill would be playing, but with Thor: Ragnarok described as a "cosmic road trip" by one of its actors it include include a pit stop somewhere to introduce a new character in a small but pivotal role. His Jurassic Park colleague Jeff Goldblum is already scheduled to debut as the Grandmaster, the second Elder of the Universe introduced after Benicio Del Toro's the Collector; could Neill come onboard as a third Elder, ahead of Thanos' Infinity War?
